What it is about: Article written by a Hungarian journalist describes the situation of Hungary — a nation with great national debts and more importantly in these days — with people having great debts denominated in Swiss franc or in yen.
Comments: I found the article very interesting although it contains some economic inaccuracies (e. g. it’s not exactly stated why the wages went up when the minimum wage was set up to a new high, it is only said it happened so). Article: Will euro save Eastern Europe?

Comments: The article is about Poland but there have been a lot of talks in the Czech Republic about this topic recently as well.
There are some missing facts in the article. First a most notable one — the eurozone is not an optimal currency zone. You can argue that no currency zone is optimal (and you would be correct) but eurozone is — I think — just the opposite of an optimal one. Remember not only prohibitions that don’t allow East-Europeans to work in the EU15 but also different cultures and languages. It’s always the same, no matter what. The EU knows best. The European Union knows everything, wants to legislate over everything, and wants to regulate, control and prohibit everything.

Na předmět 2BP260 Banking and Financial Institutions máme každý týden napsat komentář k jednomu článku o ekonomice. Dovolím si dát svoje komentáře i na svůj blog. P. t. čtenář mi snad odpustí gramatické chyby i to, že se tématu držím pouze velmi volně… Případné komentátory prosím o komentáře v českém jazyce.

Comments: From my point of view, two basic facts are missing in the article. First, it is not stated under which exchange rate regime Japan manages the yen. So the question if the yen depreciates — which would raise the exports again — remains unanswered. Vladimír Železný na tiskovce Libertasu dal Svobodným i ODS co proto. Zatímco Svobodné ale jenom tak výchovně propleskl, ODSáci dostali zasloužený výprask. Jednou z věcí, které Železný řekl, bylo pohoršení nad tím, že Jan Zahradil na plenárním zasedání europarlamentu nikdy nevystoupil.
Proti tomu se Zahradil ohradil (pěkná kombinace slov ;) ) v tiskovém prohlášení. Jan Zahradil asi nezná české mudrosloví a sice, že mlčeti je zlato. Přiměl mě totiž k tomu, abych se na ta jeho vystoupení podíval. Continue reading “Mlčeti zlato, Zahradile”

A teď by mě zajímalo, jestli si ti zapálení obhájci povinných zimních gum přiznají, že zase jednou naletěli socialistické buzeraci.
Jestli si taky přiznají, že neměli pravdu.
A jestli si hlavně přiznají, že to je špatný předpis.
Mluvím o výtečnících z komentářů k článku Ujisti se, že máš (správnou) gumu, který jsem zde publikoval 2. listopadu 2008.
Volby do eurokejvárny se nám přiblížily, tak zde jsou nějaké dos & donts, jak říkají Angličani. Tedy česky: koho volit máte a koho ne.

1. Strana svobodných občanů
Svobodní dnes zveřejnili svůj program pro eurovolby. Kandidují s heslem EU má alternativu. Evropská unie se nemusí stávat superstátem, v europarlamentu by se konečně měla zformovat opozice proti eurosvazákům.
Svobodní nebudou tuto opozici tvořit se zahradilovskou ODS, ale s britským gentlemanem Faragem, jehož několik videí jsem zde uveřejnil (a další přijdou). Continue reading “Koho volit do europarlamentu”
